NHL All-Star Game Odds: Pacific Division Tabbed as Betting Favorite

The 2019 NHL All-Star Weekend is here, and this year’s event is shaping up to be among the very best in quite some time. Together with the skills competition getting underway on Friday along with the all-star game must be played on Saturday, chances are outside at sportsbooks for all the action on the ice at San Jose, California.
BetOnline has opened the Pacific Division as +200 favorites, together with the Atlantic Division (+250), Metropolitan Division (+250) and Central Division (+400) also readily available to bet on. This is the fourth right all-star game which will use the four-team, 3-on-3 single-elimination divisional format.
McDavid Is The +500 Favorite To Win All-Star Game MVP.
At the same format as the past three all-star games, the captaincy of every division came from a fan vote. Connor McDavid will anchor the Pacific, Auston Matthews the Atlantic and Nathan MacKinnon the Central. Alex Ovechkin was voted the Metropolitan captain but is skipping the game and a replacement captain has not yet been named. Jon Cooper (Atlantic), Todd Reirden (Metropolitan), Paul Maurice (Central) and Bill Peters (Pacific) were selected as the coaches for the exhibition affair.
Pacific Wants to Return to back
This past year, the Pacific All-Stars came out on top in the 3-on-3 tournament. Entering the weekend, the Pacific Division had the second-best chances at +230. Brock Boeser of the Vancouver Canucks paved the way for its Pacific thanks to two goals and an assist while becoming called the Most Valuable Player from the process. Boeser became the first rookie to win MVP since Mario Lemieux accomplished the feat in 1985.
This time around, McDavid is the MVP favorite at +500 odds. Johnny Gaudreau (+800), Nikita Kucherov (+900), Matthews (+900) and MacKinnon (+1000) round out the top five.
